Although many people don’t care about interior designs, Paul Bangay creates an enjoyable way to express his ideas through landscape designs. If you are interested in Paul’s story, Green Room Gardens has some gems of information to share with you.
Biography
Paul Bangay was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1963, and he studied an applied sciences bachelor at Melbourne University. He was present in many exhibitions, and while he was a student there, he was considered the most incredible landscape designer.
Many people thought he had a talent for design and that he chose the right career path.
Bangay’s Beginnings and His Enterprise
Paul Bangay started satisfying clients that had specific aspirations for gardens, as some wanted them elegant and others preferred a classic look. Although he started alone, as time went by he met four people that became part of his team. All of his workers share his mindset and are applied sciences graduates as well.
The enterprise became popular and their client’s budgets were aimed for simplicity and an original factor in their designs. Although the team started with minimalist designs, most of Paul’s creations are recognized in many countries as masterpieces due to the perfection in every single detail.
Prizes
Through the years, Paul won many prizes for his magnificent work as a designer, creating a new style of doing landscape design. His work received international recognition back in 2001 because he received the Centenary Medal for his role in designing the AIDS Memorial Garden.
He also received the Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to landscape architecture. By then, Paul and his team started creating unfamiliar types of interior designs for their clients and portfolio. The nature of the prizes that Paul has won expose the quality of his work.
Projects
The enterprise started with private commissions in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North America, and The West Indies. If you think landscape design is a straightforward way of working, the Bangay team disagrees entirely.
Most of the projects in which the enterprise worked were difficult, but they helped their name be known while enjoying their work.
Books
While other landscape designers were thinking about future designs, by 1996 Paul released his first book called The Defined Garden. Two years later, it was joined by The Boxed Garden as a part of his library, where he discusses all his knowledge about gardens.
A few years later, to The Defined Garden and The Balanced Garden, the Garden Design book was added, and many more books would follow through the years. All of them convey the fact that he is a talented gardener and landscape designer.
Nowadays, Paul’s value proposition stands out significantly from many other proposals. He thinks a precise angle, perfect symmetry, and strong sightlines, together with rich details, make the design astonishing and incredible for the visitors.
Paul Bangay continues to be recognized as the best landscape designer in Australia, due to his perfectionism and expertise in the field, but he started as a talented student. If his story and evolution teach us anything, it is that talent, hard work, and courage to think outside the box, are a landscape designer’s best qualities.
