Garden of Levels
Location
Balgowlah, Sydney NSW
Project Value
$90,000
Key Sustainable Features
1
Stormwater Management through garden level configuration
2
Australian hardwood timber
3
Native draught tolerant planting
This family garden had a variety of problems to overcome. Not least the
rock shelf running through the middle and the associated change in
levels. It was decided to make a feature of the rock with additional
sandstone walling to create level terrace areas.
Deciding deck planters and platforms lead down to a large open lawn. Drainage has been installed to divert constant water allowing the native planting scheme to flourish and soften the hard structures.
